The S20 amplifier is a precision device, designed in an effort to provide the listener with unmatched sound quality through superb design and construction. Precision Bias Class A/AB operation, 200 watts x 2 into 8 Ohms, 400 watts x 2 into 4 Ohms, providing a maximum output power of 10 watts Class A (into an 8-ohm load) per channel. In BRIDGED mode, both channels act as one amplifier providing a maximum output power of 800 watts @ 8 Ohms. 1 Ohm load stable. Double-sided gold-plated circuit boards. Frequency Response: -3dB @ DC to 100kHz. Distortion: < 0.04% from 10Hz to 20kHz. Gain: 26dB. Noise: Less than 120dB referenced to reted output. Maximum current: 100 Amperes peak per channel. Input Impedance: 50k Ohms unbalanced/1k Ohms balanced. Output Impedance: 0.04 Ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz. The main power supply of the amplifier consists of a 1500VA toroidal transformer with independent rectifiers to isolate the channels from one another. 80.000 uF of total capacitance provide effective filtering. The topology and component selection is built on the foundation established by the System 100.
